Chloe & Darryl's wedding at Theobalds Park

Whilst not our 1st wedding at Theobalds Park, by far, this was our 1st wedding in their new gazebo situated in the Italian sunken garden. We had the perfect weather for it, not too hot and not too sunny! Literally 1 minute after the newly married couple walked down the aisle it started to rain, however 2 minutes later it was all over and the rest of the time we were there was perfect.

Natalie & Richard's wedding at Crondon Park Golf and Country Club

Natalie and Richard booked us this time last year via our Ebay listing. Natalie looked beautiful and Richard scrubbed up very well! The day went smoothly. The Bride and Groom went for a spin in their car and afterwards we took some pictures in the gardens. We left as the wedding party tucked into their food which smelt amazing! Crondon is fast becoming a favourite venue of ours.

Tish & Adam's Wedding at The Fennes, Bocking

Tish and Adam were already married when we met them, they'd had a ceremony in South Africa and were planning their second. The day started with some rather worrying rain but this soon cleared while we were in the Church and the rest of the day was warm and dry. As always The Fennes was a beautiful backdrop for our photos.

Alison & Richard's wedding at Berkhamsted School

Alison & Richard had some lovely weather yesterday for their wedding at Richard's old School in Berkhamsted. The school chapel was beautiful and provided the perfect setting for the couple to take their vows. Alison, from Scotland, had planned the day to a T, but she had one surprise, exiting their ceremony, she was met by the sound of bagpipes from a Lady Piper arranged by Richard!

Jo & Martin's Wedding at Fanhams Hall, Ware

Our first wedding at All Saints Church in Hertford, despite living less than 2 miles from the church we'd never been there for a wedding until today! The Reverend Jo was brilliant, both fun and funny :-) The day went perfectly, a beautiful service with a lovely sunny rececption at Fanhams Hall. We got to tour the grounds with our fabulous couple Jo & Martin and everyone had a great time!

Crystal & Daniel's Wedding at Foxhills Resort Hotel, Surrey

Our first visit to Foxhill Resort Hotel & we were very impressed! Crystal & Daniel chose a beautiful venue for their big day and after an initial shower or two the day got better and better. Such a lovely couple, and with their daughter they make the perfect family. Have a lovely honeymoon!

Lucy & Liam's wedding at Swallow's Oast, Ticehurst

Saturday's wedding was just outside Hastings, we had a long drive from Leek the night before but were up and at the venue early so Alex could meet the guys whilst I went to capture the Bridal preparations. We've had a run of hot days recently and this was no exception. Lucy and Liam had an outside ceremony at Swallows Oast followed with a sunny afternoon of drinks and photos in the lovely gardens & woodland near the venue. We had a great day with Lucy, Liam and their family and friends, have a brilliant honeymoon!

Gemma & Russell's wedding at The Ashes, Leek, Staffordshire

Friday's wedding was in Staffordshire at The Ashes Venue nr Leek. Our first time there, we were very impressed with the barns, the gardens, the staff and the view! Our couple were Gemma & Russell who booked us after seeing us photograph their friends wedding in 2007. They are a lovely couple, very smiley :-) we had a great day with their friends and family enjoying the weather. We left at 8pm to travel the 4+ hours to Hastings on the south coast & our next wedding ...

Family Tree research in North Wales

Last Thursday Alex and I spent an afternoon near Wrexham looking for some of my ancestors. My grandmother's family name is Moss and she had relations in Brymbo, Gwersyllt, Lodge, Broughton & Minera - we found lots of useful info on our trip around the churches in the area. We also found the burnt out remains of The Royal Oak Pub [Caddy's] where my great, great grandfather Isaac Jones lived & Park Farm nr Minera where my great grandafther Thomas Henry Moss lived as a child and where I visited once, many years ago! Any info on these places/people would be gratefully received.

4th of July Wedding at Cisswood House

We first met Jo & Chris at their friend's wedding in 2007 - but they chose 2010 as their year to tie the knot at Cisswood House Hotel, Nr Crawley. Again we had a lovely day, bright sunshine but with a cooling breeze. Cisswood has some amazing grounds to wander through and is excellent for photos of all kinds. Happy honeymoon!
